My lifelong love is art……. and animals! From childhood, family trips would rarely find me without my sketch pad and pencils and willing furry models, and art became my major obsession. Later, I took my first steps in formal art training, and achieved a Distinction grade in BTEC Art & Design. Thus encouraged, I undertook a degree in Contemporary Media Practice. This course included the mediums of photography, art and digital design and I graduated with a First Class BA with Honours.

Following many years of working in various creative roles, still the best buzz was from being asked to create bespoke items for friends and family and to see their faces upon receiving them.

I have created “things” all my life. As a child I was always making cards, booklets and posters. I’ve pretty much had a go at most things creative …. except for sewing. I detest sewing for some reason and really would rather staple the material together than get needles out (and pins in my eyes ...).

In recent years I have taken to designing stationery for weddings; making mammoth amounts of party products (for every latest trend under the sun) for my children’s and friend’s childrens’ birthday parties; creating fun digitally manipulated images for birthday cards and gifts and creating illustrations for my own greeting cards and prints.

The desire to work for myself creating beautiful, interesting and fun illustrations and products that other people will enjoy was always going to be the end goal. Now, working from my home in Devon I find myself surrounded by family, friends, furry friends and my wildlife garden which all serve as both a source of relaxation, inspiration and general craziness.
